The project started in 2011. It aims at optimizing the input of water and chemicals per ton of potato product, against the average input of the reference years '07/'08/'09 with regular irrigation, crop protection and fertilisation systems.
Key tools used to optimise these inputs are the following:
- new agricultural techniques and decision support systems;
- blight forecasting program;
- local (farm)weather station; and
- soil moisture probes.
Measurements are done by an indepented French company (Staphyt), who will make also the reports of results / success.
