Who Can Join SAI Platform

SAI Platform is open for Active Membership to all food industry companies, which:

• Agree with SAI Platform principles (see Our Approach).
• Are committed to support sustainable agriculture practices within their field of business.
• Wish to contribute to the knowledge and expertise base.
• Accept to support SAI Platform financially.

The definition of food industry company is taken in a broad sense, including companies manufacturing and marketing food & beverages, food service companies and trading companies. Members may have different shareholder status, including the ones of private company or cooperative.

All food chain stakeholders and other interested parties who are not food industry companies, and who are active and/or have interest in the field of sustainable initiative, are also encouraged to collaborate with SAI Platform.

These might include, notably: Consumers associations, Farmers associations, Research institutes, Economic, Environmental and Social Inter-governmental as well as Non-governmental organisations, donors, etc.

How to Join SAI Platform

Food industry companies

Food industry companies interested in joining SAI Platform are welcome to download the SAI Platform Active Membership Registration Form and to return it completed to info@saiplatform.org.

Reception of their Registration Form will be acknowledged very quickly. Upon validation by SAI Platform Executive Committee, interested food industry companies become SAI Platform Active Members for a two-years period, renewable.

During this two-years period, SAI Platform Active Members have full access to SAI Platform Products & Services. In counterpart, they are expected to pay an annual fee of € 30 000 for food companies with a turn over of more than US$ 5 billion, € 15 000 for companies with a turn over between US$ 5 billion and US$ 1 billion, € 7 500 for companies with a turn over between US$ 1 billion and US$ 200 million, and € 3 750 for companies with a turn over of less than US$ 200 million.

Other interested parties

According to their status and wishes, other interested parties may contribute to and participate in various activities of SAI Platform, including SAI Platform Thematic Working Groups.

All stakeholders interested in collaborating with SAI Platform are welcome to send a message to info@saiplatform.org, briefly describing their organisation as well as their interest in sustainable agriculture. They will be contacted by SAI Platform very quickly.
