Progress update on IT system development for FSA online assessment and data sharing

The FSA IT committee has finalized the Business Requirements document for ITC (International Trade Centre; Standardsmap). ITC is going to build the IT-system that allows farmers to do online assessments and to share their results with buyers. The IT system will be free of charge and open to members and non-members. It aims to simplify the assessment at farm level by making use of filters based on national legislation and availability of certificates. Duplication is avoided by smart benchmarking.
The system further allows buyers to manage the information of a group of farmers, to verify as they wish according to the recommendations of the Verification & Integrity Committee and to share the outcomes with their customers.
